The Tomorrow War

Review: I’m a big fan of Chris Pratt. This is not his best movie. He himself is not bad in it. His performance is actually quite good. The movie overall was uninspiring. The concept was decent. The story was decent. So the movie was decent. I’m really trying my best to put more into this review but there’s not much to say. If you like movies of the sci-fi action genre then this is definitely worth watching, but you could really take it or leave it. I do want to shoutout Seth Schenall’s Martin and I think the fact they didn’t just make his volcano obsession a one off joke, but an actual plot point, was pretty fun. The twist of SPOILERS the aliens being on Earth the whole time was a plus too.

High: I really, really enjoyed Sam Richardson’s performance as Charlie. I feel like Sam Richardson also exudes the same vibe in everything I’ve seen him in and he is always just such a strong supporting character.

Low: While this movie isn’t bad, it really does little to separate itself from other science fiction movies of the type. I think if this movie didn’t have a blockbuster star by Chris Pratt, many movie fans never would’ve even heard of it or remember it. Also, JK Simmons was criminally under used in this one.
