Kinda Pregnant

Review: A film starring Amy Schumer as a woman who pretends to be pregnant to keep up with her friends that came directly to Netflix a couple weeks ago. It’s an okay film. Had some funny moments. Had some cringey moments. Had a decent cast featuring Schumer, Will Forte, Jillian Bell, Brianna Howey, Lizzie Broadway, & Damon Wayans Jr. If you’re looking for a movie to watch, it checks that box. You’ll be able to tune out a bit & maybe get a couple laughs in. With movies like this I have a hard time writing a longer review than this so I’ll leave it here.

High: Of all the comedians in this, Will Forte had the most consistent jokes land. So that will be the high. Also the random New Zealander Fallon, played by Urzila Carlson, was decently funny. A similar brand of humor to a Rebel Wilson.

Low: There were some jokes that landed incredibly well. But I think there were more that didn’t stick the landing at all. In a film like this if the jokes aren’t hitting it’s failing because that’s really all it has in its favor.
