Review: This thing sucked. It hurts me to say. ‘Forrest Gump’ is my favorite film ever. But this reunion of director Robert Zemeckis, stars Tom Hanks & Robin Wright, & even composer Alan Silvestri just doesn’t do it. It was bad. I don’t understand why you would hire Tom Hanks, one of the greatest actors EVER, and then not let him really act. What a waste. I would tell you not to waste your time on this. If I had watched it in 2024, it would’ve ranked very close to the bottom of the 2024 films I watched. Also, I am not a fan of the digital de-aging movies have been doing. It so rarely looks good. Just hire a different actor.

High: Thank god this movie wasn’t any longer than it was. That’s my high.

Low: This film didn’t stick with one of the various timelines/storylines long enough to get invested in any of them. Like genuinely this film is just a bunch of 30 second clips all cut together. You can’t get invested in anything, no matter how compelling, interesting, or intense because it just immediately switches to something else. Short review I know, but there’s not much else to say.
