The Beekeeper
Review: Honestly, for what this movie is, it’s pretty good. An action movie with a fairly basic premise, but that executes well. Jason Statham is one of the GOATs of this genre and he shows that here. Josh Hutcherson really plays a good sleezy tech bro villain that works for the plot. The love that Adam Clay feels for Eloise was extremely heart warming. The twist and transition from the target going from a tech company to the POTUS is pretty wild. I will also say when that one other Beekeeper pulled out the minigun from the bed of the truck I lost it with laughter.
High: To me the high was that we got minimal context about Adam Clay and all we really see him doing is jacking people up. Like we don’t see how his plans get to where they are, we just see him execute it to perfection.
Low: No low here. I do not by any means think this is a perfect movie. I mean look at the score. I’m only giving it a 6.5 out of 10. But it works for what it is and does what it sets out to do.
