A Simple Favor

Review: The best way I can sum up this movie has some slight SPOILERS: ‘Gone Girl’ meets ‘The Parent Trap.’ Blake Lively & Anna Kendrick had great chemistry and both played their parts well. I also love Henry Golding, he’s so charming in everything he’s in. While this movie had a lot of fun/funny moments it got a little convoluted. It wasn’t necessarily hard to follow, but it felt a little too jerky.

High: While it did get a little convoluted, the twists were great. Most of them were pretty unexpected and they handled them all pretty well.

Low: Both the tone and the pace were extremely inconsistent which made the feel like a very bumpy ride. I respect that it dove into some different genres (E.g. Comedy, Thriller, Mystery, Romance), but it felt like it was trying to accomplish too much.
